Edvard/Edward Colbjørnsen was married on 15 April 1782 in the St. Croix Lutheran Church to Caroline Coll1 Hassel, who was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, but subsequently changed to the "High Church".2

In 1782-1784, he was the Probate Court Manager.3

In 1787, he was a government Counselor [Regierings Raad].4

1. Anna Dorothea Colbjørnsen was born in about 1783 and was baptized on 4 March 1783 in the Christiansted Danish Lutheran Church.5
2. John Neall Colbjørnsen was born in about 1784 and was baptized in the Christiansted Danish Lutheran Church on 12 August 1784. 6
3. Elizabeth Maria Ernestine Colbjørnsen was born in about 1787 and was baptized on 27 February 1787 in the St. Croix Lutheran Church.7
4. Jacob Edward Charles Colbjørnsen was born on 21 July 1788 and was baptized in the Christiansted Danish Lutheran Church on 6 August 1788. 8
5. Angelique Henrietta Elizabeth Colbjørnsen was born in about 1790 and was baptized in the Christiansted Danish Lutheran Church on 29 March 1790. 9
6. Kirsten Colbjørnsen was born in about 1792 and was baptized in the Christiansted Danish Lutheran Church on 28 September 1792. 10

Edward S.11 Colbiørnsen

He had a relationship with Christianna.12

He was married [probably by 1820] to Maria Magdalena. 13

In 1826, he was a Captain, 14 probably of the Fire Corps.

1. Hans Christian Colbiørnsen was born in about 1814 and was baptized on 16 October 1814 in the Christiansted Lutheran Mission Church. 15 Witnesses at the baptism were: William Purcel, Peter C. Frieltz, Ellisabeth Purcel, Gertrey Brown and Susanna Beverhoudt.16

Carl Røering Colbiørnsen was born on 14 February 1821, and he was home baptized on 13 March 1821 due to illness and in the Christiansted Lutheran Mission Church on 21 March 1822. 17 He was classified as a castice. Witnesses at the baptism were: Cornelius De Windt, Claudius Beverhoudt, Ame McNobney, Julian Beverhoudt and Anna Beverhoudt.18

On 8 November 1840, he was confirmed into the St. Croix Danish Lutheran Church. 19


3. Maria Magdalena Colbiørnsen was born on 3 March 1826 and was baptized in the Christiansted Lutheran Mission Church on 18 June 1826.20 She was listed as a mustice. 21 The witnesses at the baptism were: Maria E. Yard, Elisabeth Campbell, “Etatsraad” Mouritzen, “Byefoget” Frederichsen and Secretary O. C. Muller. 22

In October 1841, she was living with Amey McNobney and the van Beverhoudts at 45 Fisher Street, Christiansted.23

On 15 April 1842, she was confirmed in the St. Croix Danish Lutheran Church.24

Edward Silas Colbjørnsen was married on 2 January 1828, in his home by the Lutheran Minister, to Mary Hughes, a free mustice, who was baptized in the Anglican Church. 25 At the time he was a Master Cabinet Maker and the Captain of the Fire Corps.26

Christine Jacobina Colbøirnsen was classified as a free mustice. 27

On 24 May 1827, she was confirmed in the Christiansted Lutheran Mission Church, having been formerly a member of the Anglican Church.28

George Colbiornsen was born on St. Croix in about 1829 and was baptized in the Lutheran Church. 29

In 1841, he is living at 3 Watergut, Christiansted, where he is serving as an Apprentice Blacksmith.30

Margaret Ann Colbiornsen was born on St. Croix in about 1829 and was baptized in the Anglican Church. 31

In 1841, she was living at 7d West Lane, Christiansted, a property owned by the heirs of Captain Colbiornsen. Living with her was apparently her godmother, Margaret Ambertee.32

Frances Colbiornsen was born on St. Croix in about 1830 and was baptized in the Lutheran Church. 33

In 1841, she was living at 1A Smith Lane, Christiansted occupied as a Seamstress.34
