Stories where we can find it : Karakoncolos Germakoçi It is an oral legend. Origin ( place, period ) : Black Sea Region, especially Trabzon and Rize Physical description : It is black,tall and very ugly. It has a hairy body. It is a creature which looks like not only monkey but also human. Human features : It can speak. It emerges in the coldest day of winter and asks people: “Where have you been coming from? Where are you going?” Behavior (good or bad) : It is bad. It carries a comb. If you don’t anwers its questions, it hits the comb and kills you. Powers / skills : It hasn’t got so much power or talent. It just uses its comb. Weakness : It can be deceived easily beacuse of its foolish behaviours. Association with another animal : It has the same peculiarities of the monster Ochokoci in Georgian legend. Parallel with other cultures : It has the same peculiarities of the monster Ochokoci in Georgian legend. It has shown that Georgions and Laz people-Black Sea people- are relatives because both cultures have the same legend. Germakoçi
Hayvanı bulduğunuz hikayenin/efsanenin adı: Karakoncolos Germakoçi Nerde bulunduğu/dönemi: Karadeniz Bölgesi Özellikle Trabzon ve Rize civarı Fiziksel özellikleri: Kara renkte ve çok çirkindir. Vücudu kıllarla kaplı maymun ile insan arası bir orman yaratığıdır. Uzun boyludur. İnsani özellikleri: Konuşabilir. Kışın en soğuk olduğu zaman ortaya çıkar ve “Nerden geliyorsun? Nereye gidiyorsun” gibi sorular sorar. Davranışı(İyi mi/Kötü mü): Kötüdür. Elinde tarakla dolaşır, sorduğu soruları cevaplayamazsan tarağı vurarak öldürür. Güçleri/ Yetenekleri: Pek fazla gücü ya da yeteneği yoktur. Yalnızca tarağını kullanır. Zayıf noktaları: Safça hareketleri yüzünden kolayca kandırılabilir. Diğer hayvanlarla ilişkileri var mı? Gürcü efsanesindeki Oçhokoçi adındaki canavarla aynı özellikleri gösterir. Diğer kültürlerle ilişkileri: Gürcücede Oçokoçi adındaki canavarla aynı özellikleri gösterir. Mitolojilerinin de aynı olması Gürcü ve Lazların akraba kavimler olduğunu gösterir. |
