Awards show from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas honoring this year’s top artists, songs and albums based on their performance on Billboard’s music charts in a variety of genres such as R & B, Rap, Pop, Country, Rock, Latin and Alternative. From her record-setting achievements and musical legacy to her rocky personal life and battle with addiction, this special provides an in-depth look at the life of Whitney Houston. It will also include an appropriate 10-year-old interview with Diane Sawyer, as well as the latest developments about the superstar’s final days.

20/20: Before They Were Famous (1 hr)

This Oscar-themed special highlights the early lives and careers of this year’s nominees which include George Clooney, Glenn Close, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Max Von Sydow, Gary Oldman, Demien Bechir, Jean du Jardin and Berenice Bejo. The show includes never-before-seen photos, clips and home videos from “before they were famous” with additional interviews with former co-stars and friends. It will also feature a tribute to Billy Crystal’s reign as Oscar’s “golden host.” Robin Roberts anchors and Deborah Roberts and Chris Connelly are featured reporters.

20/20: Dance Floor Confidential: Behind the Scenes of Dancing with the Stars (1 hr)

20/20: Heaven-Where is it? How Do We Get There? (2 Hrs)

Barbara Walters examines the questions in the title of this special edition by traveling the world and talking to religious leaders of major faiths. Also included are reports on “The Science of Heaven,” “Near-Death Experiences” and “Heaven and Real People.”

20/20: The “Million Moms Challenge” on Maternal Health anchored by Diane Sawyer (1 hr)

With the hope and goal to save millions of moms and children around the world, ABC NEWS along with the UN Foundation launches an initiative to engage and educate people on the importance of supporting specific major issues such as complications with childbirth, children’s health and pregnancy.

20/20: Regis Philbin-The Morning Maestro with Katie Couric (1 Hr)

Special Edition focusing on the 22 mile stretch of road in Los Angeles which runs from the rough side of town through “The Strip” and Beverly Hills, all the way out to the Pacific. For 100 years, the talented dreamers and the “tragically desperate” have come to this “neon-washed” piece of real estate called Sunset Boulevard to make it. Let’s see the select few that become famous and the many more that are destroyed by it.

ABC News: Your Voice, Your Vote (Two - 2 Hrs)

This Republican Presidential candidate debate, focusing on the critical issues the country faces today, takes place in Iowa less than a month before the state’s “first –in-the-nation” caucuses. Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos moderate the live debate held on the campus of Drake University in Des Moines. The second special takes place in New Hampshire.

It’s the 60th anniversary of the Queen of England’s ascension to the throne and the monarchy is throwing an historic, star-studded event from a stage set up in front of Buckingham Palace. ABC News has exclusive broadcast rights to special performances, interviews and back stage coverage from London. Katie Couric will host.

Countdown to the American Music Awards (1 Hr)

Live pre-show leading up to the 2011 American Music Awards. Ryan Devlin reports from the red carpet and Hot Chelle Rae will perform. Chris Harrison and Vanessa Lachey host the event.

Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest will co-host this New Year’s Eve 40th extravaganza, live from New York City (10-11PM). Jenny McCarthy hosts from Times Square. Fergie, of the Black Eyed Peas, will host from the West Coast. The show will then continue in two parts to ring in the New Year from 11:30PM-1:08AM and 1:08-2:11AM. Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Pitbull and Hot Chelle Rae will performer live in Times Square. The Band Perry, Blink-182, Christina Perri, Florence+the Machine, Gym Class Heroes, LMFAO, OneRepublic, Nicki Minaj, Taio Cruz and perform in Los Angeles.

Disney’s Prep & Landing 2: Naughty vs Nice (½ Hr)

This edition in the Prep & Landing series follows elves Wayne and Lanny as they team up again in an effort to thwart the computer-hacking “Naughty Kid” from stealing classified North Pole technology and ruining Christmas. Wayne brings in extra help in the form of his estranged brother Noel, a member of the Coal Elf Brigade, who is the foremost field expert with all things “Naughty Kid.” Voice cast includes Dave Foley, Sarah Chalke and Derek Richardson.

Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas (½ Hr or 1 Hr versions)

Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special (½ Hr)

Based on the Kung Fu Panda animated movie, Po must make a big decision regarding his favorite holiday, the Winter Feast. On one hand, tradition has him helping his father hang decorations, cook and serve noodle soup to the villagers together. This year, however, Shifu informs Po that his obligation as Dragon Warrior includes hosting the formal Winter Feast at the Jade Palace. What will Po do?

Megastunts: highwire Over Niagra Falls-Live! (2 Hrs)

Nik Wallenda, 33, a seventh generation member of the “Great Wallendas,” will walk almost 1, 550 feet on a tightrope, suspended 173 feet above the Horseshoe Falls at Niagra Falls. This feat has been banned since 1890. Anchored by Josh Elliott and Hannah Storm. Bill Weir and Sam Champion are featured reporters.

New Year’s Rockin’ Eve: The 40th Anniversary Party (1 Hr)

A look back at the last 40 years of moments in New Year’s Rockin’ Eve history will be hosted from Times Square and LA and celebrated with live performances by this year’s biggest hit makers. Hosted by Jenny McCarthy and Fergie.

Oscars Red Carpet Live (1½ Hrs)

Pre-Oscar walk down the red carpet. Hosted by Robin Roberts, Tim Gunn, Louise Roe, Jess Cagle and Nina Garcia.

Revenge for Real (Two-1 Hrs)

Two stories of “real revenge” from ABC news. The first hour, titled “Murder in the Hamptons” and hosted by Cynthia McFadden, puts a new twist on the 2001 Ted Ammon murder case in which electrician and boyfriend of the victim’s wife was convicted of the crime.

Rudolph’s Shiny New Year (1 Hr)

In this classic Rankin/Bass stop-motion animated special, Rudolph, at the request of Father Time, must find Happy, the Baby New Year before midnight or the date will forever be December 31st. Standing in Rudolph’s way is Aeon, the villain Buzzard who has his own reasons for not wanting Happy found. Featured voices include Red Skelton, Morey Amsterdam and Frank Gorshin.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town (1 Hr)

A mailman reveals the origin of Santa Claus in this Rankin and Bass classic stop-motion animated tale.

Scared Shrekless (½ Hr) (Animated)

Never mind all the usual tricks and treats of Halloween, instead, join Shrek and all his friends for a fright night done ogre-style. Shrek dares Fiona, Donkey, Puss ‘n Boots and all the other fairy tale characters to spend the night in Lord Farquaad’s haunted castle telling scary stories, The last one to be scared “Shrekless” wins the challenge.

Shrek the Halls (½ Hr)

Join Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss-n-Boots, and the rest of the fairytale crew as they celebrate the holidays with their unique twist on the season’s traditions.

Stand Up to Cancer (1 Hr)

This commercial free-telethon aimed at raising funds to hasten innovative cancer research will feature many celebrity cancer survivors and a myriad of other performers. Four popular chefs -- Chef Art Smith, Chef Chris Cosentino, Chef Ilan Hall and Chef Jill Davie -- compete for the title of “The Greatest Chef in History” as viewers get a taste of what it was like to prepare food through the ages with no modern appliances, amenities, running water or electricity. The judges include: Nancy Silverton, chef, restaurateur and cookbook author; Dave Arnold from the French Culinary Institute in NYC; and Silvena Rowe, from London’s May Fair Hotel.

Hallmark Hall of Fame: Firelight (2 Hrs)

Dwayne Johnson (DJ) is a counselor at a youth correctional facility for incarcerated girls and young women who come from troubled and violent backgrounds such as gangs, drugs and abuse. In a unique twist, DJ develops an elite volunteer program where these girls have to survive several weeks of rigorous training, be in peak physical condition and learn to work as a team in order to battle forest fires, build hiking trails in remote areas and assist in natural disasters. The idea is to see themselves in a different light and that if others respect them for being strong and fighting to save other people’s lives, they’ll end up saving their own lives.

Hallmark Hall of Fame: Mitch Albom’s Have a Little Faith (2 Hrs)

Based on Mitch Albom’s best-selling non-fiction book, this movie centers on his path to find faith, community and in turn, life’s purpose. Albom’s journey began when his childhood Rabbi, Albert Lewis, asked him to write his eulogy. This request not only sparked an eight-year conversation about faith with the “Reb”, but led him to Detroit Reverend Henry Covington, who was in recovery from a life mired in drugs and crime and who ran a homeless shelter. Between these two very opposite men, Albom found the essence of his wavering faith and what it is inside us all that derives life’s meaning,
