Giorgio Armani response to Clean Clothes Campaign and Guardian article alleging that Giorgio Armani refuses to address problems associated with “sandblasting”.
Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Giorgio Armani to respond to the following item:

- “Stop the Killer Jeans!”, Clean Clothes Campaign, 13 Feb 2011

- “Dolce & Gabbana in dock over 'killer jeans'”, Guardian, John Hooper, 10 Aug 2011

In response, Giorgio Armani sent the following statement:
17 August 2011

In regard to the sandblasting finish applied to certain garments, the Armani Group wishes to make clear that this technique has now long been eliminated from our production processes.

Thank you for your understanding and collaboration,
Best Regards,
