Crazy Love” – January Family Time Cards
Week One

Read: Luke 12:41-48
Key Points: In this story, who is the master? Who is the manager?
Discuss: In this week’s passage, Jesus describes what it looks like for God’s people to be faithful managers of His resources. Parents, discuss with your children the different ways that God has provided for your family. How can your family effectively manage these resources in a way that would advance the gospel in your church, community, and around the world?
Memory Verse: From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded. Luke 12:48

Week Two

Read: 2 Corinthians 9:6-10
Key Points: What does it mean to sow generously? What does it mean to sow sparingly? What does God say about the heart of a generous giver?
Discuss: Crazy Love demands that we sow like crazy into spiritual endeavors so that we can, as a church and individually, reap a harvest of righteousness. Write down some ways that your family can generously & cheerfully invest in your church and community this week.

Week Three:

Read: Proverbs 6:6-10
Key Points: What are some characteristics of sluggards? What makes the ant wise? What is the result of the ant’s plan? What is the result of the sluggard’s failure to plan?
Discuss: Crazy Love requires us to devise a crazy plan for generosity. First, we give a portion of our earned income back to God. Second, we hold back a portion of our money to save. Finally, we live on the rest – guilt free! Parents, help your family develop a strategy for regular giving, saving, and spending. Be creative – use visual aids, set goals, and track your giving so the entire family can celebrate your generosity together.
Memory Verse: Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! Proverbs 6:6

Week Four:

Read: Malachi 3:8-10
Key Points: How were the Israelites robbing God? What was God’s response? How were the Israelites supposed to give? What was God’s test?
Discuss: How should my family give to the church? How can we move toward faithfully giving a tithe to our local church body?
Memory Verse: Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. Malachi 3:10
