Day 01: Tashkent

Arriving to Tashkent

Day 02: Tashkent

Breakfast in hotel

Tashkent, one of the largest ancient cities in Central Asia, capital of Uzbekistan. In Uzbek, Tashkent means “the Stone City” and is also known as a city of striking contrasts. You will see both old and modern city.

Excursion program in Tashkent

"Monument of Courage" (1976) - the epicenter of the Tashkent earthquake of 1966, "Independence Square"

Lunch in the biggest “Plov Center” where tourists can taste famous uzbek cuisine – “plov”.

Visit the architectural complex "Khazret-Imam" incl. necropolis of imam Abu Bakr Muhammad al-Kaffal Shashi who was one of the first Muslim imams and a famous divine and poet (16th c), "Barak-khan Medressa" - built by Suyunidj-khan - the first ruler of the Uzbek dynasty of the Sheibanid's (16th c), "Tellya Sheikh Medressa" also called "Khast Imom Mosque" where Osman Quran - the world's oldest is kept (19th c), "Juma Mosque" (15-19th cc)

Day 03: Tashkent – Kokand – Rishtan - Fergana

8:00 Drive to Fergana Valley over Kamchik mountain pass.

12:00 Arrival to Kokand.

Kokand is situated in the western part of the Ferghana Valley.

The Great Silk Road had played a major role in the development of the city.

Visit of Khudoyar Khan Palace and museum.

Departure to Rishtan

Since ancient times Rishtan was famous for its ceramics.


here are deposits of red clay, natural minerals and abundance of mountainous vegetation that is needed for painting process. Rishtan artisans became well known for their technology of ceramic and pottery production.

Day 04: Fergana – Margilan - Tashkent

Visit to the famous Yodgarlik Silk factory where original handmade methods of silk production have remained. Silk fabric manufactured here is considered as one of the best in Central Asia.

Visit of Said Akhmad Khuja Madrassa with many artisanal workshops inside:


kat velvet weaving, silk ikat, jeweler, skull cap making & metal chasing, knife making workshops

Day 05: Tashkent – Nukus – Ayaz Kala

Drive to Ayaz Kala

Yurt is a national dwelling of Kyrgyz/Kazakh nomad people.

You can feel the unique experience of spending a night in the real atmosphere of oriental nomads.

Dinner under the open sky.

Day 06: Ayaz Kala - Khiva


Visit of ancient settlements – fortresses Ayaz Kala and Toprak Kala
Lunch in the yurt camp

Drive to Khiva over the Amu Darya river.

Arrival to Khiva and accommodation in hotel

Day 07: Khiva



History of Khoresm dates so long back to ancient times that only few civilizations can equal its age.

You will see palaces with the rich mosaic, unique beautiful minarets, madrasahs and mosques
Excursion over Khiva: Ichan-Kala architectural ensemble - „Museum under the open sky“.

Day 09: Bukhara


As mentioned in the holy Avesta book Bukhara is one of the most ancient Uzbek towns built on the sacred hill of spring time offerings put by Zoroastrians. The name " Bukhara " is derived from Sanskrit denoting "temple, cloister". This city was once a big commercial centre on the Great Silk Road

omplex "Poi Kalon" ("Beneath the Great"): "Kalyan Minaret" - the main symbol of sacred Bukhara that symbolized authority and power of spiritual governors. (12th c), "Kalyan Mosque"- its area of 130x80 m surpasses Bibi-Khanym mosque in Samarkand, "Miri Arab Madrassah" - active madrassah is one of the most esteemed spiritual Islamic universities (16th c), "Taki Zargaron" - the dome of jewelers (15-16th cc), "Ulugbeg Madrassah" - one of the 3 madrassahs constructed by grandson of Tamerlan - Ulugbeg (15th c), "Abdulaziz-khan Madrassah" - a traditional madrassah with 2 floors of hudjras and a mosque on the central axis ( mid. of 17th c), “Tim of Abdullah-Khan madrassah” (1588-1590), atlas shops, "Magoki-Attari Mosque" - the most ancient mosque in Bukhara (12th c) is considered a masterpiece of Bukhara architecture, "Khanaka and madrassah of Nadir Divan-Beghi" - a massive rectangular structure that was a place for the refuge and meditation of Sufis (17th c), "Kukeldash Madrassah" (16th c) - one of the biggest Bukhara madrassah, "Lyabi-Hauz" ensemble - the largest artificial reservoir of medieval Bukhara - is very popular among tourists (14-17th cc)

Mausoleum of the Samanids” - the most ancient brick building in Central Asia, a masterpiece of world architecture (9-10th c). The mausoleum of Chashma Ayub that belongs to esteemed "places of trace" left by saints (14th c). - the legend says that once the bible prophet Job (Ayub) visited this place. Museum of Imam Al Bukhari. "Bolo-Houz Mosque" - the only monument of medieval Bukhara (beg. of 20th c), "Ark fortress" - the center of Bukhara statehood (4th c BC), silk carpet shops

Day 10: Bukhara



Drive to Gijdivan (about 70 km) for visiting ceramic workshop of Abdullo Narzullaev’s family. Here you can see process of manufacturing of ceramic and possibility to get acquainted with Uzbek family traditions.

Lunch in house of ceramic master – Abdullo Narzullaev

Sitora-i-Mokhi Khosa Palace” (XIX-XX), once the country residence of the last emir. Here you can see one of the best examples of palatial architecture. So called “White Hall” with its Guncha carvings with mirror layer are of exceptional beauty,

"Chor Minor" ("Four minarets") is an unusual madrassah built by Caliph Niyazkul (18th c).

Day 11: Bukhara-Shakhrisabz-Samarkand

Breakfast in hotel.

Drive to Shakhrisabz (280 km). Arrival in Shakhrisabz.

Shakhrisabz is situated in the South of Uzbekistan also known as the Motherland of Great Tamerlane. Culture of this region is distinguished with its own peculiar folk arts, especially embroidery and highly commended art pieces.

xcursion program over Shakhrisabz: Ak-Saray Palace (14-15 cc.), Darus-Saodat, Dorut-Tillavat Complexes (15-16 cc.), Ulugbek's Gumbazi-Seyidan Makbarat, Kok-Cumbaz Mosque (15 cc.).

Lunch in Shakhrisabz.

After lunch drive to Samarkand (180 km).

Arrival to Samarkand. Accommodation at hotel.

Day 12: Samarkand – Urgut - Samarkand



"The town of Blue domes": The history of Samarkand dates back to 2500 years and more from now landmarks dated back to the times of the Timur Dynasty and is of the same importance as architectural masterpieces of ancient Egypt , China , India , Greece and Rome.
Transfer to Urgut. Visit one of the biggest and most colorful bazaars in the region.

Visit the papermaking workshop

Visiting Ulughbek’s Observatory (XV.), ancient settlement Afrosiyab and Afrosiyab Museum (8th BC-13th AD). Situated in the outskirts of the city, with archeological discoveries, pottery and terracotta statuettes are on the exhibit in the Afrosiyab Museum.

Visit of Samarkand Silk factory “Khudjum” where you can see all process of the silk carpets producing starting from cocoons till the paining and final goods. You can purchase the ready carpets here and pay by cash or c/c VISA.

Visit the Art Gallery of Valentina Romanenko with the great variety of Silk dresses and materials.

Day 13: Samarkand


Excursion in Samarkand:

- Tamerlan's tomb (14-15th c.) that was built for Temur's grandson Muhammad-Sultan and the tombs of three other Temurids - sons of Temur - Miranshah and Shahruh and his grandson Ulugbek,

Ruhabad Mausoleum ("House of Spirit")(external visit) - the legend says that under the dome there is a box with seven hairs of Prophet Muhammad (14th c.),

Registan Square ("A sandy place") - the major square of Samarkand: Ulugbeg Madrassah - Sheikh Khodja Akhrar and poet Djami were among outstanding graduates of the Madrassah (15th c.), Sher-Dor Madrassah ("Having tigers") (17th c.), Tillya-Kari Madrassah ("Coated by gold") - the rich gilding on the dome, walls and mihrab surpassed all other famous buildings in Central Asia (17th c.).

Cathedral mosque Bibi-Khanym that was named after the oldest wife of Tamerlan (14th c.), world famous Samarkand bazaar – “Siyob”

The architectural complex Shahi-Zinda (Alive king) - necropolis on the slope of the Afrosiab hill is connected with Kusam ibn Abbas - the cousin of Prophet Muhammad (11-15th c).

Day 14: Samarkand – Tashkent



Drive to Tashkent (330 km). The road passes over Temur’s Gate.

The gate is named after Amir Temur, the ruler of the Temur’s Empire.

The landscape changes here - from flatlands to green mountains. The Gate of Temur is a 150-metre-wide gorge, where the Sangzar, a mountain river, flows alongside the highway and the railroad. The armies led by Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan and many Arab conquerors once negotiated these heights, where a cool wind blows throughout the day and throughout the year.
